I love jellyfish, at a distance of course. But they are magnificently graceful creatures in the water. Although most of my experience growing up was seeing them washed up on the beach. Shanghai aquarium has several enormous tanks of jellyfish so I took a long awaited trip there recently to shoot them in close quarters. It was my second trip as I mistakenly went there on the weekend during the summer with my daughters and it was a horrific experience. There were 2,000 people inside the aquarium (according to the sign outside which I only noticed when we were leaving) and in the narrow tunnels it was a claustrophobic nightmare. Here are some of them that I captured.
